The Invisible World

To fully understand Reality, it is necessary to accept that the real, physical world is made up of invisible as well as of visible substance. This is so because the physical world as we perceive it is only the last, densest manifestation of the infinite scale with which Creation expresses itself. As already mentioned, in the subtle world dwell sentient and semi-sentient beings that are in harmony with mankind (the light spirits, many nature spirits, etc.) as well as lesser forms that are in conflict with Man (the negative spirits, the negative elementals, etc.).

We must add to the invisible world the souls of those people who, even after death, still wander about the earth plane. As we have already seen, their permanence in this vibration is mostly caused by spiritual "ignorance" that, at time of death, didn’t allow them to detach from the matter element.

While only up to a century ago it was a rare and difficult endeavour to establish a "contact" with the invisible world, at present it is much less difficult to do so, as if a previously solid wall has crumbled down. Although the new condition is caused by evolutionary changes in the planet – as well as by the greater sensitivity reached by some human beings – the person who desires knowledge must be aware that the interaction between mankind’s mental energies and the subtle world has always existed. This contact is, in fact, an integral and necessary part of the growth of each element of Creation. For instance, the evolution of a human being would be impossible without the existence of his/her spiritual counterpart, called the Spirit Guide in many societies.

1. The connection could simply relate to semi-sentient spirits that, in an almost mechanical way, mimic negative physical and mental functions (such as excessive eating, sleepiness, depression, self-doubt, etc.) of the host person to which, by resonance, they associate. That is, the spirits are attracted to the psychological make-up of the person and reinforce, in a process of feedback, his/her negative aspects, causing an increase of difficulties in the person’s daily life.

2. A more severe case of negative-spirit interference is connected with the presence of lover boys / lover girls. These are spirits that establish a "relationship" with a person, considering the human being their active companion and not allowing other mates in his/her life. The person might or might not be consciously aware of these activities.

    

3. The most extreme case of negative-spirit interference occurs when there is a partial (rarely total) expulsion of the being’s soul and a takeover of the host body and/or mind by one or more negative spirits. The circumstances in which this event might happen are the presence of a feeble mind, a complete lack of spirituality, or a severe shock (for instance, that which follows a physical accident).
